Wedding Ideas

Flower pots star in this vintage wedding rehearsal dinner tablescape. Start with terracotta pots and saucers and dry-brush for a stonewashed look. Tiny flower pots dry-brushed and covered with lace hold candy as favors and "flower pot" tags as placecards for each guest. Pewter frames with sepia prints of the bride and groom, antique books, tea cups potted with colorful plants, potted herbs, Scrabble tiles, candles, and tulle round out a romantic vintage look.

Look closely to see the individual flower pots. They are dry-brushed a light pink for a stonewashed look and then covered with tightly stretched lace. The "flower pot" tags serve as place cards, made from vintage scrapbook paper with an overlay of vellum. Fill with candy as a favor.

Dry-brush terracotta flower pot saucers as bases for an arrangement of candles.

To continue the candy theme, use colorful hard candy instead of rocks to fill in around the candles on the flower pot saucer.
